Adding a Donation Widget to OBS
Donation widgets are an important part of any stream, as they allow you to display viewer support in the form of monetary contributions. In this guide, we’ll walk through how to add a donation widget to OBS Studio using Palmeme.
For this guide, we'll use Palmeme.
Step 1: Registration on Palmeme
- Go to Palmeme Dashboard
- Sign up or log in.
- After logging in, go to the dashboard and navigate to Widgets → Donation widget.
Step 2: Configure the Donation Widget
- In the Widgets → Donation widget section, find Widget customization.
- Customize the alert style — animation, sounds, and text.
- Save the settings.
- Copy the Widget URL — this is the link you'll paste into OBS.
Step 3: Add the Widget to OBS
- Open OBS and go to the Sources panel.
- Click + and select Browser.
- Name the source, e.g., Palmeme Donation Widget.
- Paste the copied URL into the URL field.
- Adjust the size and position of the widget.
- Click OK.
Step 4: Test the Widget
- To test the widget, use the test donation feature in the Palmeme dashboard.
- If everything is set up correctly, you’ll see a donation alert on your stream.
Your stream is now ready to receive donations! Remember, you can always customize the widget’s appearance and reposition it on screen as needed.
Good luck and happy streaming!
